About CrewChief
CrewChief was created and developed by Rob Winship TechWorks. Rob is a long-time volunteer in youth baseball. Over the years, Rob has served the Sarnia baseball community in almost every capacity—including coach, manager, diamond scheduler, umpire liaison, and most recently, as an executive board member for two separate baseball organizations.
The inspiration for CrewChief came directly from the field. After experiencing firsthand the logistical challenges of sports administration, Rob saw a clear and urgent need for two things:
Smartphone-friendly access for officials on the go.
A solid, reliable communication system for assignors managing moving parts.
While born out of a love for baseball, CrewChief was built from the ground up with a multi-sport mindset. The platform is fully customizable to fit the structure of your organization—whether you call your game-day officials umpires, referees, or linesmen, the software seamlessly adapts to the specific terminology and needs of your association.
